The season in Latvian football is almost over, but just almost – on Wednesday Aleksandrs Starkovs’ Latvian national team will play a friendly match with Estonia in Tallinn.
As it is not an official FIFA match day, Latvia will play without its foreign league players – only Juris Laizāns has agreed with his club to help to Latvia. Estonia, at the same time, managed to get 11 foreign players in their squad.
The result will not be the main aim for the Latvian team, so Starkovs has called 4 debutants and also Kristaps Blanks, who did not get a call for a long time.
The match will be played on Wednesday 12 November at A. Le Coq Arena and will start at 8 o'clock in the evening. It will be the 49th official match between Estonia and Latvia.
Estonia will play two more friendlies this year - on 18 November they meet Moldova in Tallinn and on 22 November Estonia welcomes Lithuania in Kuressaare.
